Wetlands Threatened by Bracebridge West Bypass

On January 8, 2003 the Environmental Assessment to finalize the preferred location for the west bypass highway was announced. The assessment is expected to take at least a year. To see a map showing the proposed routes click here All of the proposed routes cut through a complex of productive wetlands south of Beaumont Drive and through a spring fed watershed north of Santa's Village Road. In these areas there is a high concentration and diversity of wildlife.
