Muskoka is made for winter. Frozen white lakes stretching to the horizon are interrupted by snow-clad, forested hills filled with a maze of trails, providing an exciting winter experience. There's snowmobiling, cross-country and downhill skiing, outdoor skating, ice fishing, even horse-drawn sleigh rides.

Don't forget Muskoka's winter Carnivals - one at a different locale within the district almost every weekend from mid-January to late February. These entertaining events include unique activities like Polar Bear Dips, dog sled races, `Wreckin Races' on the ice, children's games, frozen turkey bowl, helicopter rides and arts and crafts shows.

After a vigorous day outdoors relax in a resort's sauna or whirlpool, visit the games room or lounge.
