Christmas is coming, and so are the Christmas Craft Shows. The months of November and December see a host of different craft and gift shows happening throughout the district. Offering everything from homemade Christmas decorations and the usual hand-knitted mitts and toques to wooden toys to the unusual and unique, these craft shows feature an almost endless variety of gift items. Check out one or more shows  – you’re sure to find something special for that special someone. Listed below are the dates, times and locations of nine shows being held somewhere in Muskoka from now until Christmas.

 

November 5 to December 18

"An Old Fashioned Christmas" at the Woodmill of Muskoka (Hwy #11 N). 1pm-5pm. Product sampling every weekend in November & December. (maple, preserves, hot cider, hot choc. dips and spreads) There will be cider and crafts for the young ones to do every Sunday in December. Gift Certificate Draws held every week in November & December. Look for their special light display. (705) 687-5959

 

November 5

Muskoka and Almaguin Highlands Arts & Crafts
38 vendors at the Royal Canadian Legion in Huntsville, (21 Lansdowne Street). Door prizes, raffles and snack bar. Open 9:30 to 4:30. No admission charge. Proceeds to Huntsville Hospital X-ray department. For more information, call Donna Harley at (705) 789-1386.

 

November 12
6th Annual Christmas Arts & Craft Show
"The Show with Variety". One day only at the Huntsville Centennial Centre Auditorium, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission by voluntary donation, supporting Diabetes Research & Awareness. 39 top quality vendors all under one roof. Something for everyone. This year features a silent auction that includes hockey pucks signed by Mats Sundin. For more information contact Joyce Wilson 789-9841.

 

November 17-19
Christmas Arts & Crafts Show at the Huntsville Place Mall

November 19

8th Annual Port Sydney Craft Tour. Start your Christmas shopping the fun way by visiting the wide variety of sites on the Port Sydney Craft Tour. From 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Find hand-crafted home accessories, quilts, candles, teddy bears, baskets and more!  Maps and guides of the tour are available at Treasures and Trophies in Huntsville, the Craftnook in Bracebridge or at most Port Sydney businesses.  For more information call (705)385-2311 (days) or (705)385-2687 (evenings).

 

November 19-20
Christmas Show & Sale
25th Annual Muskoka Arts and Crafts Christmas Show & Sale.
The Christmas Show & Sale has Santa's Ho-Ho-Ho stamp of approval.  This merry show features thirty-five festive exhibitors selling a variety of hand made work that's perfect for gift giving. St. Dominic’s High School, 995 Cedar Lane, Bracebridge. Saturday, 10am-5pm; Sunday, 11am-4pm. Admission by donation. Free parking. 645-5501. http://www.muskokaartsandcrafts.com.

Christmas Bazaar & Luncheon  at Trinity United Church. 11 am-3 pm. Same day as the Santa Claus parade. (705) 687-5478

 

November 26
Dorset Christmas Bazaar and Craft Show.
Community Bazaar at the Dorset Recreation Centre from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Local community groups, artisans and crafters selling crafts, baking and other goods and goodies. Lunch available. There’s still room for vendors.  For more information call the Dorset Recreation Centre at (705)766-9968.

 

December 3
Gravenhurst Farmers Market Christmas Show
Gravenhurst Centennial Centre. 10 am-4pm.  Free Admission – usual vendors from the summer with lots of Christmas crafts, baked goods and food stuffs.
