Accommodations
The Delta Sherwood provides an intimate escape

Looking for a place for a getaway weekend or even a little longer? Delta Hotels’ Sherwood Inn may be just the place. Nestled on the shores of picturesque Lake Joseph, the Delta Sherwood provides an intimate escape.

Choose from a variety of luxury accommodation -- one-bedroom cottages that include king-sized beds and screened decks; premium chalet style rooms with private balconies; and spacious rooms at the Inn.

Participate in a variety of summer activities -- tennis, boating, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, and their own Nature Trails Eco Adventures. The Wenonah II, the newest addition to the Muskoka Steamship Fleet, stops at the Delta Sherwood dock every Wednesday, allowing guests the opportunity to take a one-hour tour of Lake Joseph. Or view the area from the air, taking a breathtaking tour in a floatplane. For golfers there are two great golf facilities nearby – the Lake Joseph Club and the Rocky Crest Golf Club.

More resort activities are available -- badminton, volleyball, croquet, and swimming.  Or indulge in a relaxing massage at their Amba Health and Beauty Spa, which includes a screened-in, open-air hot tub and sauna.

Conference goers can enjoy all of the above, of course, along with special activities offered by Delta meeting planners, such as their "High Ropes" Team Building Challenge Course or the Nature Trails Eco Adventures year round. Arrangements may be made to secure the entire resort for a conference or event.

All these amenities make Sherwood a favourite place for weddings. Imagine holding the ceremony at ‘the Point’, and then ascending a grand cedar staircase to the Verandah Room with its large windows and lake views, which hosts the reception dinner. Afterwards dance the night away or return to ‘the Point’ for a crackling fire. Sherwood also hosts winter weddings, making the most of the tranquil Muskoka setting with its snow covered pines and the twinkle of stars over an outdoor skating rink. A roaring fire in the Main Inn Lounge, with fairy lights and cedar boughs decorating the mantle, makes it complete.

Dining is an event at Sherwood. Serving a ‘Modern Country House’ menu, Sherwood’s chefs use only the finest of ingredients, and make use of local, fresh items whenever possible. This attention to detail, along with superb service, and an exceptional wine cellar, has won Sherwood the coveted CAA/AAA "Four Diamond Plate" awards seven years in a row.
