If you need a break from driving in weekend traffic
to and from the cottage the Muskoka Jitney has the answer. A
commuter service providing non-stop transportation from
downtown Toronto to Muskoka each Friday, and returning each
Sunday evening, Muskoka Jitney gives you more time for work,
or just some down time. Now in their 3rd season,
they offer three good reasons to use their services –
they’re economical, environmentally friendly and sociable.
They do the driving and you leave your car at home.
Services are available
each weekend up to and including the Bala Cranberry Festival
weekend, (always the weekend after Thanksgiving). Pick-ups
in Toronto happen each Friday in the mid-afternoon at three
locations. The Jitney then runs to the Gravenhurst Train
station and two other lakeside stops in Muskoka. On Sunday
evening (Monday evenings on the long weekends) it runs in
reverse, allowing for some whistle stops, if required.
Connections to the various area airports can also be
arranged.
Jitney passengers enjoy
luxury, air-conditioned commuter vans, shuttle buses or
highway coaches, with snacks and cold refreshments sold on
board. Oversized luggage can be taken at a surcharge.
Quantity discounts and season passes are also available. The
scheduled traveling time is 2.5 hours, but can vary
depending on the weather and traffic, of course.
The Muskoka Jitney is
affiliated with Turnkey Concierge services, which has been
offering concierge and property management services to
individuals, households and enterprises for 15 years. Based
in Toronto, Turn Key Concierge Services offers these
services within the GTA to permanent residents as well as to
inbound executives, dignitaries and group travelers, in
Ontario and across Canada, with winter service for snowbirds
in Naples, Florida. Turn Key Concierge Services personnel
are bonded and insured by the Dominion of Canada General
Insurance Company.
