“After
a busy day, relax on your own private sun deck and enjoy the
beauty of the spacious grounds and tall pine setting. All the
right ingredients for a relaxed, carefree Muskoka getaway
await you at the Travelodge Bracebridge,” declares
Travelodge Bracebridge’s website at www.islander-inn.com.
Formerly
the Islander Inn, the
Travelodge Bracebridge is family owned and operated. It
became part of the Travelodge chain last year. Owner Mark
Hvasti explains, “We became Travelodge in order to stay
competitive in today’s market.”
The
accommodations at the Travelodge in Bracebridge include all
the amenities, such as individual sundecks, in-room coffee and
refrigerators, remote control T.V., air conditioning,
telephone, non-smoking and handicap accessible accommodation.
“We
have built a 13 room addition and new reception area,” says
Mark, continuing, “and have added patio doors and sundecks
on the original section of the motel. This means that all
rooms except two, where it was not feasible, have walkouts to
individual sundecks. The original 16 units have also had a
total renovation in the bathrooms, (new tubs and bath
surrounds, new low-flush toilets and sinks, and new ceramic
tile) and the bedrooms, (new carpets, bed spreads, furniture,
patio door and sundeck). Electronic card locks have been
installed, and the outdoor pool has been expanded to
accommodate the growth.”
Start
your day with a complimentary continental breakfast consisting
of fresh brewed coffee, juices, fruit and an assortment of
delicious baked goods. In the summer take advantage of their
park setting to enjoy a family picnic, the children's
playground, a game of horseshoes or simply relax around the
heated pool with step-in spa.
Three
accommodation styles are available. The European is the basic room with a choice of two
double beds or one queen bed, a writing desk and sitting area.
Most are available with a walk out to a sundeck. The
Deluxe
is a larger room with two double beds, a sitting area and
additional vanity area, plus a walk out to a sundeck. The
Superior
is their most
spacious, with two queen beds, a sitting area, vanity area,
walk out to a sundeck, and a Jacuzzi bath option.
Travelodge
Bracebridge maintains a CAA/AAA Three Diamond rating to assure
their clients of consistent quality service, cleanliness and
value. They are also part of the new
