The Heart of Muskoka is a family cottage resort, located on 3 Mile Lake near Utterson, set in, well, the heart of Muskoka.

  It’s a place to get away to. Relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of Muskoka on the cottage resort’s ten acres of private, lakefront property. Their 500 feet of private shoreline promises both young and old alike a safe, sandy beach, and a beautiful view in the 'Magic of Muskoka'.

  Other lakefront activities include boating, with complimentary use of canoes and paddleboats, or motorboat rentals. Or try some other activities on their large sports field – its perfect for tossing a Frisbee, or playing football. In addition, there is a full size volleyball court, plus two horseshoe pits, and a badminton court for your enjoyment. There is also a play area for the kiddies to swing, slide, and play on.   Each cottage is equipped with a modern kitchen and living area, separate bedrooms and three-piece bath.  All cottages include air conditioning, full size stoves and fridges, colour TV, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, pots, cutlery, dishes, deck or porch, patio umbrella, gas BBQ. All this and lakefront views, too.

  If you run out of things to do, or want to explore the region, some nearby activities include Santa's Village, (always a big hit with the kids), the Lady Muskoka Boat Cruise, the Segwun Steamship Cruises, and the Muskoka Pioneer Museum. Nearby golf courses include the ‘Diamond in the Rough’ course. Other activities include tennis, horseback riding, arts & crafts studios, country fairs and farmer’s markets. Shoppers can discover everything from antique shops to garage sales, as well as fine dining and movie theatres, including a drive-in theatre.

  Open the first week of May to Thanksgiving, the Heart of Muskoka offers a 25% discount off regular weekly/weekend rates from opening to June 12/04, (excluding Victoria Day weekend) and again in September, from after Labour Day to the week prior to Thanksgiving.
