 Wildlife, Harris and Miniatures

The Algonquin Gallery, located at KM20 in world famous Algonquin Park, is home to the Animal Art in the Park exhibits. The 2001 show has a collection of work from over 35 wildlife artists from North America and Europe. Notable pieces this year include ' In the Swim of Things ' by Carl Brenders, ' Pileated Woodpeckers' by Robert Bateman and ' Windswept ' by Brent Townsend, as well as work from Tony Bianco, Arnold Nogy, Patrice Wolput and Michael Dumas.

This year the gallery highlight is a selection of work from Lawren Harris of the Group of Seven. Over 30 of Harris' works are on display in the Tom Thompson Room, making it a show not to be missed.

While at the gallery take the time to shop at their boutique or have lunch in the licensed cafe. Admission to the gallery is $7.00 for adults and $6.00 for students and seniors. The show runs until October 14, 2001, 10:00am to 6:00pm everyday.
