A stay at Fairy Bay Guest House is more than just
a Bed & Breakfast retreat, -- it is a luxurious getaway in
cottage country, complete with all the amenities. The house is
yours, to enjoy and relax in.
Unwind in a comfy Muskoka pine chair in front of the granite
fireplace in the lounge, where you can socialize, read, or
just listen to some music. In the winter enjoy the lounge’s
hot water heated floor. Or
retreat to the common room upstairs, to browse its well-filled
bookshelves, indulge in a game of chess, or take in the view
of Deerhurst Highland Golf Course.
Make use of the fully
equipped kitchenette to stash your own goodies, as well as
partake of complimentary soft drinks and biscuits. In the
summer a gas BBQ and a fire pit on the beach are available for
steaks and marshmallows. The mudroom stores towels for the
beach in the summer, while serving as a heated change room in
the winter for donning X-country skis and snowmobile suits.
Hearty, healthy breakfasts consist of a hot entrée, cereals,
fresh fruit, juice, home baking, toast, home-made jams, coffee
and tea, all served in their beautifully furnished breakfast
room, complete with a view of Fairy Lake.
And the choice of seven
different bedrooms, plus an apartment suite, is wonderful. The
Peach Room, for example, is a large and elegant room with a
bay window overlooking the bay, a Queen-sized bed with an
antique headboard, several Art Deco pieces of furniture, and a
deep peach bathroom with a large shower with a seat. The
Apartment is a large, sun-filled, luxurious one-bedroom suite
on the main level -- ideal for a family or as a
meeting/retreat/ conference room for a group.
Fairy Bay offers Autumn,
Thanksgiving and Christmas specials – a time to getaway and
enjoy the seasons. Use the Guest House as a base for the
Muskoka Autumn Studio Tour the end of September, or enjoy the
Thanksgiving long weekend there; hiking, golfing, enjoying an
autumn colour tour on Muskoka's country roads, visiting
Algonquin Park or just curling up in a Muskoka chair with a
good book. Sunday sees a full Thanksgiving Dinner served in
front of the fireplace. Christmas holidays can be celebrated
at fairy bay Guest House, too.
