Evans-Forrec -- builders of the imagination

If you have ever visited Santa’s Village in Bracebridge you’ll recall the rides and the excitement and noise of this popular theme park. You may also have been captivated by the imaginative architecture of the buildings. Located in an idyllic setting amidst a cool pine forest along the Muskoka River the park was designed to both fit into to this northern setting and suit the theme as Santa’s summer home. As popular now as when it first started Santa’s Village was created (and is still partly owned), by construction mogul Bruce Evans. It was one of his first projects in themed entertainment.

Over 40 years later Bruce Evan’s company, Evans-Forrec, is one of the world’s premier developers of themed entertainment, acting as a contractor and manufacturer of themed environments, with hundreds of projects completed throughout North America.

Besides Santa’s Village, Evans-Forrec has been involved in building at Expo’67, the MGM Grand Theme Park, Las Vegas, Paramount Canada’s Wonderland, Universal Studios in Florida, Walt Disney World, the West Edmonton Mall, and the Woodbine Centre, Toronto. An impressive list by anyone’s standards.

At Paramount Canada’s Wonderland, for example, where they have been involved since its beginning in 1980, they have been invited back each year as part of the park’s continuous expansion. At Universal Studios in Florida, Evans-Forrec, (who have operations in Orlando) have been contracted for the construction of Jurassic Park, Camp Jurassic, Suess Landing, and Toon Lagoon, as well as many other parts of this world-famous park.

Based in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada, their 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility accommodates all engineering, machining, assembly and warehousing functions of the company. Evans-Forrec specializes in the manufacture and construction of custom windows, doors and complete facades.

The construction operations provide full service general contracting, project management and sub-contracting under Lump Sum Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract arrangements.

Each project is unique. Whether it is replicating the past, creating solutions for the present, or furnishing environments from the imagination, Evans –Forrec applies their ingenuity and experience with the client’s imagination to make the dreams a reality.

They are up to the challenge, and the results speak for themselves.
