Visions of warm summer nights are closer than they appear

This year, the 2003 Cottage Life Show is proudly celebrating its 10th anniversary. The show will take place March 28th to March 30th in Toronto, where the International Centre will be transformed into a breath-taking lakeside setting, sure to inspire even the most urban among us. From powerboats and kayaks to docks and decks, alternative energy products to septic and water systems, The Cottage Life Show has getaway solutions to please every taste.

“Whatever the reason – smog in the downtown core, bumper to bumper traffic, the ever expanding concrete jungle – city dwellers have made it clear that cottage life is worth the drive out of town each weekend,” says Ian Forsyth, the show’s manager. “The Cottage Life Show is very specific in its focus, and every exhibitor will be offering the best cottage-related products and solutions to help attendees get the most out of their treasured cottage experience.”

Come explore the numerous new feature areas the show has to offer for 2003. The Cottage Kitchen offers many quick and easy recipes for the barbecue, while the brand-new Cottage Workshop will show you how to fix that ripped screen, replace that rotten deck board, and re-hang that sticking door – perfect summer puttering projects!

As the demand for cottages grows, so does the demand for The Cottage Real Estate Centre. This year the centre will be providing much more than realtors and property listings. Experts will be offering seminars on succession, taxation, purchasing and mortgage negotiation. These seminars are designed to help first-time cottage buyers as well as long-term owners of family-held properties.

Other interesting products and services shown by over 450 exhibitors include:

  • All the better to see you with… cameras, binoculars and spotting scopes.

  • Build it! Log cabin, timber frame and cottage builders will help your dream take shape.

  • Cottage composting and keeping the critters out of your trash – the very latest in bear-proof garbage cans.

  • Boating: have you got “the card” yet? Get tested for your Pleasure Craft Operators Card.

So much more than a standard consumer show, The Cottage Life Show is the kickoff to the summer season that keeps more than 37,000 avid cottagers coming back year after year. Whether they like the cozy cottage atmosphere, the  cottage-specific quality exhibitors or the popular feature areas, there is everything for every kind of cottager.
