Busy weekend for Bala: Antiques, arts and crafts make Bala the place to be September 29th and 30th by Kim Kerr

Bala promises to be a bustling place September 29^th and 30^th. The busy weekend schedule promises to draw visitors from across the region and beyond for a variety of exciting events.

  Leading the field is the Antique Show and Sale at the Bala Sports Arena on Maple Street. Admission for the two-day event is $4, and opening times are Saturday 10 a.m to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For further details, contact event organizer Peter Sutton-Smith at 705-484-1668

  The same weekend sees the Bala Legion on Maple Street host the Cottage Country Art Show and Sale. The event kicks off Saturday 29^th at 10 a.m., closing at 5 p.m., opening again Sunday 30^th at 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Admission is free. For further details, contact  Vic Sanders at 705-762-5636.
