Allen's Landing Cottages snuggles on the shores of Clear Lake

Allen’s Landing – Cottages on Clear Lake is a new business, at an old location, owned and hosted by Steve Spiers and Susanne Allen Spiers.  Both are teachers with an entrepreneurial spirit who hope to share their love of Muskoka, trees, water and simple cottage living with their guests, all year round.  Allen’s Landing caters to families who need to get away from the fast pace and technology of everyday life.  It is for those who enjoy the simple pleasures of the quiet North and wish to share these experiences with their family.

The property consists of five fully equipped housekeeping cottages, nestled among four treed acres with 300 feet of private sandy beach and shoreline. All of the cottages have lake views and two are literally lakeside. All are newly renovated and furnished, and simply decorated to provide guests with a comfortable vacation. All have 3-piece washrooms and running hot and cold water.  Three of the cottages are winterized for the enjoyment of winter enthusiasts.

Guests will enjoy the clean cottages, snuggled on the shores of pristine Clear Lake. Well spaced and thus private, they allow guests the option to enjoy solitude or mixing and mingling with other visiting groups. Whatever your vacation goal, there are endless things to do both at the resort and nearby.

In spring enjoy the early greenery as new life emerges. Take in the Festival of the Falls in early May in nearby Bracebridge, a celebration of springtime in Muskoka.  In fall immerse yourself in the colour of autumn grandeur that only Muskoka provides. Sightsee, photograph, hike, fish or enjoy the peaceful surroundings without summer havoc and traffic. Take in local fall fairs and events, golf or visit local antique shops or artisan galleries.

In summer, swim and sun on the warm sandy beach while the children (both young and old) play on the safe and shallow shoreline.  Their beach amenities include use of the paddleboats, canoes, rowboats and community fire pit.  Picnic, hike, star gaze, toast marshmallows, fish -- or just relax. Join in the Welcome BBQ on Sundays and for those who might enjoy a quiet evening visiting local restaurants ask Susanne and Steve for their favourite places to dine.  For those who wish to venture off-site check out the local golf courses, stables, Huntsville Festival of the Arts in early July and weekend events in Historical Downtown Huntsville.
